V W Camper Van

Today I finally finished the VW Camper Van. I started it a couple of weeks ago but ran out of stuffing before I could finish it - SO frustrating. I hate leaving a project half finished. However, as today was pay day I was able to get down to Cowes and get some stuffing, and some supplies for my next project.

On the back is her date of birth. I'm really pleased with this project. The wool was a little bit more expensive than I'd usually buy, but considering it is a present, I don't mind. I used Rowan Fine Milk Cotton on 3.25mm needles. I found the wool a little fiddly to work with, and it is easy to fray. However, it is very tactile and perfect for a toy like this.

My next project is going to be the V W Beetle, although I plan to use different wool as this will be for Simon and so will need to be a bit hardier.

While I was waiting for the opportunity to get to the shop, I did a quick two day project that I found on a website not too long ago.

http://knittedtoybox.blogspot.com/2008/04/zero-ghostly-dog.html <-- I thought it would be a good time to try my hand at making Zero as I had some white wool lying around from my second project (the one I did after the socks) and so two days later I have my very own Zero. Cecily liked it!
